Background: Hypercalciuria, short stature and low bone mineral density are features of distal renal tubular acidosis (dRTA) and osteogenesis imperfecta (OI). If untreated, the presence of dRTA in patients with OI may worsen the prognosis and lead to poorer height outcomes.
